Campaign - Letter from our President

Elizabeth GregoryDear Community,

This past year has presented challenges for all of us, but we have seen how our community comes together during these turbulent times. We are thankful for our partner agencies, who have shown resilience and flexibility in serving the needs of our citizens.

For example:

  • Adair County YMCA has provided daily meals for Kirksville and Novinger students and modified how their members utilize the facility.
  • Hospice has implemented telehealth for patients in nursing homes.
  • The Salvation Army has served an increasing number of citizens in need, with a decreasing volunteer staff.
  • NEMO Senior Citizen services has converted its meal service to home delivery and curbside pickup.  Due to the Pandemic, they are serving an additional 200 meals a month!

These are just four of our eleven agency challenges that we are experiencing on a daily basis.

Thank you for your past support!  We ask that you consider giving at an equal or even greater level in our 2021 Campaign as our agencies incur increasing costs due to the Pandemic. Please find enclosed a 2021 Campaign pledge card and a return envelope for your convenience or visit our website at www.liveunitednemo.org to donate online.  Every dollar counts!  Help us reach our goal of $180,000!

Please consider making your pledge or contribution early. We will celebrate our “starting drive total” at out 2021 Campaign Kickoff September 10th at 7:30 p.m. in the Rotary Amphitheater in Swimming Pool Park here in Kirksville.

Together we can fight for the health, education, and financial stability of every person in our community.  I hope to see you at the 2021 Campaign Kickoff!

Sincerely,

Elizabeth Gregory
